According to the DBM, this amount has been allocated to 257 departments and agencies as of Tuesday afternoon, with an additional 58 still under processing.
The DBM clarified that these funds are being disbursed based on each agency's request for salary increase calculations.
Budget and Management Secretary Amenah Pangandaman stated, "We are making every effort to release the budget to all agencies as quickly as possible. This is what our fellow government workers have been eagerly waiting for."
She also urged department and agency heads to promptly distribute the salary differentials, as the increase is retroactive to January of this year.
The salary increase for government employees is required under Executive Order No. 64, which was signed by President Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos Jr. on August 2.
The salary increase will be rolled out in four phases: the first phase retroactively effective from January 1, 2024; the second phase starting on January 1, 2025; the third phase on January 1, 2026; and the final phase on January 1, 2027.

Additionally, the budget department has introduced the Salary Standardization Law VI dashboard to provide real-time data on budget releases, enhancing monitoring and oversight.
Pangandaman emphasized that this move reflects the department’s dedication to transparency and open governance.
